All individuals involved were referred to health care providers.

Two cats in Florence County have tested positive for rabies.

One of the felines is a wounded orange 6/8-week-old kitten. It was said 18 people are known to have been exposed to the animal.

The other cat is a 2/3-year-old, black and white neutered male but only one person is known to have been exposed.

All individuals involved were referred to health care providers.

The cat and kitten are the second and third animals to test positive for rabies in Florence County this year.
