Robeson Co. Crash Resulted In The Death Of One Person
An investigation determined that both drivers failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of the roads resulting in the collision.
One person is dead and another is facing charges after a collision occurred in Robeson County.
The crash happened just after 5pm on Wednesday along NC-71 and Mount Zion Church Road.
The driver of a Ford Ranger was heading westbound on Mount Zion Church Road while a Ford Fusion was traveling northbound on NC-71.
An investigation determined that both drivers failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of the roads resulting in the collision.
The impact sent the Ranger into a nearby ditch. The driver of the Ranger was pronounced dead at the scene and has been identified as Presley Prather.
The driver of the Fusion was identified as Isaac Lockler. He sustained minor injuries but did not need medical attention.
Though both drivers failed to stop, the actions of Locklear resulted in the death of Prather.
Locklear has now been charged with misdemeanor death by a motor vehicle.
