Toyota Issues Recall On Nearly 55,000 Vehicles

Toyota placed a recall on nearly 55,000 vehicles.
The recall covers Prius and Prius HEV hybrid electric vehicles made between 2023 and 2024.
The automaker issued the recall due to an issue in which water could enter and short-circuit rear door latches. If this occurs, the doors could possibly open when moving or in a crash. Unexpected door openings could increase the risk of injury to occupants.
