Myrtle Beach Hotel Damaged Amid Strong Winds

Around 10am, a section of the roof at the Summer Wind hotel located along South Ocean Boulevard collapsed.

A Myrtle Beach hotel was damaged Thursday as strong winds blew across the Grand Strand.

Around 10am, a section of the roof at the Summer Wind hotel located along South Ocean Boulevard collapsed.

The hotel reportedly did not have an active business license at the time.

The building has been deemed uninhabitable following the incident.

13 people were relocated and the city is working to house those affected.

No injuries were reported.

The incident prompted authorities to temporarily shut down a section of the boulevard from 18th to 20th avenue for hours.
