Trump And Co-Defendants Allowed To Appeal Fani Willis Ruling
Trump and his allies are accused of racketeering and other criminal charges for entering a months-long criminal conspiracy to overturn President Biden’s 2020 victory in Georgia.
A judge gave Donald Trump the greenlight to immediately appeal the recent ruling that allows Fani Willis to stay on the election interference case in Georgia.
An investigation was opened after Trump and his co-defendants in the case brought to light a romantic relationship Willis had with Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade.
The defendants argued the circumstances could cause conflict and requested to have Willis’ team thrown off the case.
After hearing from witnesses, a judge ruled Willis could stay on the case as long as Wade resigned.
Now, trump and his co-defendants have been granted permission to ask the Georgia Court of Appeals to take up the disqualification battle before the case goes to trial.
