15-Year-Old Dies After Accidentally Shooting Himself
Fairmont Police Chief Edwards said, “This loss for the Fairmont community is a tragic reminder of what can happen when firearms are in the hands of children.”
A 15-year-old Robeson County teen died sunday night after accidentally shooting himself.
Officers were called to investigate a shooting at a home on McDaniel Street in Fairmont.
Upon arrival, they found the boy deceased. He died after a firearm he had been handling went off.
Fairmont Police Chief Edwards said, “This loss for the Fairmont community is a tragic reminder of what can happen when firearms are in the hands of children.” He added now is the time to step up and say enough is enough.
The 15-year-old was a student of Fairmont High School.
