New Vessel Turn-In Program For Horry And Georgetown Counties
Residents can apply for free to have their unwanted vessel removed and recycled.
Horry and Georgetown Counties will have the opportunity to clear their waterways of abandoned boats this summer.
A new initiative is part of DHEC’s vessel turn-in program.
Residents can apply for free to have their unwanted vessel removed and recycled. After applying, individuals will be notified if they’ve been accepted for the program and will be provided details for transporting their vessel to a drop-off site or having their vessel picked up.
The program also allows residents to report abandoned boats to DHEC who will then decide how to handle them.
