Xavier Legette Recognized As 2023 Blanchard-Rogers Trophy Winner
Last year, Xavier Legette finished with 71 receptions for 1,255 yards and scored 7 touchdowns, averaging 17.7 yards per catch and 104.6 yards per game.
A native of Mullins in Marion County was announced the 2023 Blanchard-Rogers trophy winner by the S.C. Football Hall of Fame Tuesday.
The award honors the state’s most outstanding college football player of the season.
Xavier Legette is the star All-SEC receiver for the University of South Carolina, where he is a 5th-year senior.
Last year he finished with 71 receptions for 1,255 yards and scored 7 touchdowns, averaging 17.7 yards per catch and 104.6 yards per game. His total of receiving yards in a single season was the second-highest number in Gamecock history.
Legette graduated from Mullins High School in 2019 where he was rated the 10th best prospect in the state. He will participate in the NFL combine and is projected to be a top receiver prospect in the upcoming NFL draft.
The football star will be honored with the 11th Annual Enshrinement Ceremony on April 18.
