Fulton County District Fani Willis Testifies In Hearing
The romantic relations between two top prosecutors possibly present a financial conflict of interest in the case.
The election interference case brought on by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis took a turn.
The Georgia election subversion case against Trump and 14 of his allies faltered when two top prosecutors testified under oath Thursday.
Willis and prosecutor Nathan Wade took the stand to speak on their past romantic relations.
The hearing was triggered by allegations of self-dealing that have the potential to derail the entire effort.
It was explained their relationship started in early 2022. However, a witness testified the affair began in 2019, which would have been before Willis hired Wade to lead the Trump probe in late 2021.
The romantic relations between Willis and Wade possibly present a financial conflict of interest in the case.
A judge is now viewing all aspects of the allegations and will soon rule on whether Willis should be dismissed from the case.
