HGTC Provides Temporary Home For Meals On Wheels Of Horry And Georgetown

Meals on Wheels of Horry and Georgetown Counties has landed a temporary home.
The faith based organization provides home-delivered meals and fellowship to the homebound, elderly and terminally ill.
In December, organizers announced they were temporarily suspending operations after being forced out of the building they were utilizing.
Horry Georgetown Technical College has now agreed to allow the organization to use one of its facilities.
HGTC’s designated space for Meals on Wheels is equipped with a kitchen area, enabling the nonprofit to continue its work without disruption.
The college added that they understand the non-profit’s urgency and are making the building available for a year with the possibility of renewal while Meals on Wheels continues their search for a permanent location.
