Myrtle Beach Polar Plunge Raises Nearly $150,000

This year, hundreds came out to help raise funds for Horry County Special Olympics.

Every year the ‘Freezin for a Reason’ polar plunge is held at the Sands Ocean Club.

This year, hundreds came out to help raise funds for Horry County Special Olympics.

The four plunges over four hours raised nearly $150,000.

The water temperature was 52 degrees and participants dove in to create more opportunities for athletes to experience the life-changing benefits of participating in the special olympics.
