The Carolina Panthers have hired a new head coach.

The Panthers are coming off a 15-loss campaign, which was recorded as one of the worst seasons for the team.

Previous Head Coach Frank Reich was dismissed after winning just one of the first 11 games in his short-lived tenure.

The team has now hired Dave Canales to take over. He is transferring from the Buccaneers in which he led the team to their third straight NFC South title as their offensive coordinator.

The 42-year-old also spent 13 years in Seattle where he served as the wide receivers coach, quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator.

Canales is now the seventh full-time head coach in the Panther’s history.
