Ron DeSantis Suspends His 2024 Presidential Campaign

Ron DeSantis' departure leaves Former S.C. Gov. Nikki haley as the only Trump alternative in the race with little time to catch up to the front runner.

In a surprising move, Ron DeSantis suspended his presidential campaign Sunday.

The Florida Gov. explained if there was anything he could do to produce a favorable outcome, he would do it, but he can’t continue asking his supporters to volunteer their time and donate their resources if he does not have a clear path to victory.

DeSantis entered the Republican presidential primary as one of Donald Trump’s greatest threats, but now he is endorsing the former president. He said, “While, I’ve had disagreements with Donald Trump … Trump is superior to the current incumbent Joe Biden. That is clear.”

The next primary voting will take place in New Hampshire on Tuesday.
