Aldi Eliminates Plastic-Bags From Store Locations Nationwide

The retailer has cloth bags available in stores for purchase and will continue to sell them to customers who forget their own reusable bags.

Aldi announced customers will no longer be able to purchase plastic shopping bags from the retailer.

After months of gradually eliminating the bags from stores, Aldi has officially ended the plastic-bag option at checkout all together.

According to Aldi, the decision to eliminate plastic shopping bags will prevent nearly 4,400 tons, or 9 million pounds of plastic, from entering circulation annually.

The retailer has cloth bags available in stores for purchase and will continue to sell them to customers who forget their own reusable bags.

Aldi also aims to use natural refrigerants in all us stores by 2035 to support a healthier planet and keep products fresh.
