An iconic candy is being discontinued.
Fruit Stripe gum has been sold since the 1960’s and came in five flavors including Wet’n’Wild Melon, Cherry, Lemon, Orange and Peach. Each pack came with a temporary tattoo of its mascot, Yipes the Zebra.
Ferrara, Fruit Stripe’s owner, said the decision to discontinue this product was not taken lightly and they have considered many factors before concluding that it can no longer sell the fruit flavored gum.
Fans could however still be able to find the zebra-print products in select retailers nationwide before it sells out one last time.
