Johnson & Wales University Campus Presidents Create Super Bowl 50 Wager

Johnson & Wales University has campuses in Charlotte, N.C. and Denver, Colo. and the presidents from each campuses are getting fired up for the Super Bowl 50 with a food-related wager.

Panthers-vs-Broncos

Each campus are siding with their homes teams for the wager and have created agreements for whichever team wins.

If the Panthers win, president Robin Krakowsky from the Denver campus will wear quarterback Cam Newton’s jersey on campus for a full day. Krakowsky will also send a basket of local Denver specialties to Charlotte with items including Colorado beer, hot sauce from Rocky Mountain, green chili, Boulder chips, and Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey and buffalo jerky.

The wager is the same for Robert Mock, Charlotte’s campus president, if the Broncos win. Mock will have to wear quarterback Peyton Manning’s jersey for one full day on campus and send a basket of Carolina treats. The basket will include items such as BBQ sauce, Cheerwine, stone ground grits, Lance crackers, sweet tea and country ham.

Along with the wager, both campuses are creating a spirit competition leading up to the big day. Students and faculty are asked to wear their home team’s colors and jerseys. They are asked to post pictures of them in their spirit attire using the hashtag #JWUSuperBowlSpirit.

Even though both campuses are confident in their teams victory, they are showing good sportsmanship and agreeing to the terms of their bet.
