A lot of people…especially younger adults…use some vacation time in December to go home for the holidays. But, does that count as a true “vacation”? 34% of people say traveling home does not count as a vacation. In fact, 71% say they’re probably going to need a vacation after all the family time. Most people stay with family or friends when they go back home, but about a third of people say they’re planning to stay somewhere else, like a hotel, a bed-and-breakfast or Air BNB. Maybe staying in a “new” place is a hack that can make it feel more like a vacation.
