Police Identify Suspect Accused Of Several Vehicle Break-Ins

Police are now searching for 30-year-old Dustin Jones. He is accused of firing a gun and was captured on security cameras attempting to enter the furniture store as well.

Surfside Beach police have identified the suspect accused of conducting a series of vehicle break-ins over the weekend.

The break-ins occurred between 3:30 and 4am on Sunday in the parking lot of Home Accents II.

Police are now searching for 30-year-old Dustin Jones. He is accused of firing a gun and was captured on security cameras attempting to enter the furniture store as well.

Jones was driving a 1992 to 1996 model dark-colored jeep cherokee with a lift kit, light bar above the windshield, aftermarket wheels, and a modified or missing rear bumper.

The jeep also has a push bumper with a winch mounted above the front bumper and a design at the top of the windshield and a colored stripe on the hood.

Anyone with information on Jones’ whereabouts is urged to contact Surfside Beach authorities, he is considered armed and dangerous.
