New York Residential And Business Building Partially Collapsed
Crews are working with extra caution to search through debris with concerns the other part of the structure could collapse as well.
A building in New York partially collapsed on Monday leaving behind mountains of rubble.
The seven-story structure located in the Bronx, was home to 47 residential units and six businesses.
A fire department said all people were evacuated and only two people suffered minor injuries during evacuation.
As crews searched through the debris that stood 12-feet high in some places, no victims were found.
The exact reasoning behind the collapse has not been publicly released. However, it was discovered that the building owner submitted a report in 2021 that revealed the building was unsafe due to cracked bricks and deteriorating mortar.
