Man Charged After Allegedly Fatally Shooting Partner

Brandon Dewitt has now been arrested and charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and more.

One suspect has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting.

Shortly after 5pm on Wednesday, Darlington County police reported to a residence in the 2500 block of Timmonsville Highway.

21-year-old Bethanylynn Shaw was found suffering gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shaw’s partner, Brandon Dewitt has now been arrested and charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and neglect by a legal custodian. He was booked into the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center.

The shooting appeared to have been domestic-related.
