U.S. Embassy In Baghdad Targeted In Rocket Attack
Over 78 attacks have been conducted against U.S. facilities in recent weeks, 37 were in Iraq and 41 in Syria.
The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad was attacked early Friday morning.
Though no group has claimed responsibility, the rocket attack was believed to have been carried out by Iran-aligned militias in Iraq.
This is the first time the embassy, located in the Green Zone of Iraq’s Capital, has been targeted since the start of the Israel-Hamas war. The Green Zone houses Iraqi government buildings and embassies in the region.

No injuries were reported in this morning’s attack but there was minor damage.
