UNLV Gunman Mailed Letters To University Personnel Across The U.S.

Investigators are working with the postal inspector and federal partners to process the letters and contact the recipients.

 

New details have emerged surrounding the UNLV shooting that left three people dead.

It was discovered that the gunman who was identified as Anthony Polito mailed 22 letters to various university personnel across the country with no return address.

Investigators are working with the postal inspector and federal partners to process the letters and contact the recipients. Several of the envelopes contained a white powdery substance in them, but it was found to be harmless.

Further details regarding the letters and their content were not immediately released.

At least two of the deceased victims were identified as professors of the university.

A motive behind the attack has still not been confirmed at this time.
