Man Arrested In Connection To An Assault And Robbery Incident
Police were called to the express convenience store on Mr. Joe White Avenue in Myrtle Beach to investigate a reported assault.
One man has been arrested in connection to an assault and robbery situation.
On Sunday, police were called to the express convenience store on Mr. Joe White Avenue in Myrtle Beach to investigate a reported assault. Upon arrival, they found EMS personnel treating a male who was on his back unconscious in front of the store. The victim also had minor cuts on his face.
An investigation revealed Cedric Simmons allegedly knocked the victim to the ground and repeatedly picked them up and dropped them before taking his cell phone and wallet.
Simmons was arrested on Monday and charged with strong-armed robbery, drug possession, and kidnapping. He remains in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center on bonds totaling $105,000.
