BMW Recalls Some SUVs From The 2014 Model Year

The recall was placed due to the driver's side airbag inflators possibly exploding in a crash releasing metal shrapnel that could injure or kill occupants of the vehicle.

BMW has issued a recall on some SUVs in the U.S..

The recall covers 486 X3, X4, and X5 SUVs from the 2014 model year that are equipped with airbags manufactured by the Takata Corp. of Japan.

The recall was placed due to the driver’s side airbag inflators possibly exploding in a crash releasing metal shrapnel that could injure or kill occupants of the vehicle.

Owners of the models included in the recall can take the vehicle to any BMW dealership for a free repair.
