Queens Stabbing Spree Left Four Dead And Three Injured

Police found an 11-year-old girl, a 12-year-old boy, a 44-year-old woman and a man in his 30s had all been stabbed to death.

On Sunday, a stabbing incident in Queens resulted in the death of four people and left three others injured.

Shortly after 5am, New York City police received a call from a young female claiming her cousin was killing her family.

Authorities responded to a home where they found 38-year-old Courtney Gordon who drew a kitchen steak knife on the officers, stabbing one in the neck and chest, and striking the other in the head.

One of the officers drew his weapon and fired. Gordon was struck and taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The officers were also taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Gordon had started a fire in the home that had to be put out before officers could enter. Inside, police found an 11-year-old girl, a 12-year-old boy, a 44-year-old woman and a man in his 30s had all been stabbed to death. A 61-year-old woman is in critical condition from stab wounds as well.

An investigation has been opened but the incident appears to be family related.
