Wanted Murder Suspect Extradited Back To S.C. After Arrest In New York

Two other people connected to the case previously surrendered and were charged with accessory after the fact of murder.

A wanted man has been extradited to South Carolina.

On June 23rd, 37-year-old Reginald Green was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking-lot of the Money Saver located on Highmarket Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Keonne Spann was identified as a suspect in this case. He fled the state after the shooting and was found later in Brooklyn, New york, where he was arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force and New York City police.

Spann refused to be extradited on the charge of murder and a governor’s warrant was secured for his extradition back to S.C..

On Tuesday, Spann was taken into custody by Georgetown police investigators who traveled to New York to bring him back. He has formally been charged in Green’s fatal shooting.
