The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas continues to intensify.

Israel special forces raided the Al-Shifa hospital claiming it was the site of an underground command center for the militant group. Israel released a photo and video of an alleged ‘operational tunnel shaft’ that was allegedly discovered in the hospital complex. Hamas has rejected the claim as ‘baseless lies’.

The United Nations Human Rights Chief has called on Israel to grant his team access to Gaza to further investigate the claims.

In addition, the Israeli military said its warplanes struck the home of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. The army released video of a large explosion, which allegedly showed the Gaza home being destroyed. However, it was shared that Haniyeh has not been based in Gaza for several years.

These actions wrap up the sixth week of the war between the two rivals.
