President Biden And Xi Jinping Held A Productive Meeting
After the meeting, Biden explained it was one of the most constructive and productive discussions the two leaders have ever had.
On Wednesday, President Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping held a meeting in San Francisco.
The two ended discussions with several commitments on key issues. Jinping agreed to assist in curbing the production of Fentanyl that has played a huge role in deaths in the U.S..
The two presidents also reached an agreement to resume military-to-military communications. Biden made it clear to Jinping that such communications between the U.S. and China should be institutionalized and that they are “not done as a gift or as a favor to either side.”
Biden said the U.S. and China will also hold future discussions in regards to artificial intelligence and the risks as well as safety issues that surround the technology.
After the meeting, Biden explained it was one of the most constructive and productive discussions the two leaders have ever had.
