One Man Arrested And Charged For Death Of A 19-Year-Old Woman

21-year-old William Perritt has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

One man has been arrested in connection to the death of a 19-year-old woman.

Around 1:15a.m. Sunday morning, officers responded to a possible shooting off of N. Highway 701 in Horry County.

Brooke Akins was transported to McLeod Health Loris emergency room with a gunshot wound to the head. She later succumbed to her injuries.

21-year-old William Perritt has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Perritt is detained at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center and no bail has been set.
