The traffic light will be placed in flash mode for a week before being placed in active mode.

The city of North Myrtle Beach is getting a new traffic light.

The light will be placed at Club Course Drive and Barefoot Resort Bridge Road.

It will be phased in starting on Wednesday.

Travelers are warned they may experience stop and go traffic and/or one lane of traffic during start up.
