Amazon Rolls Out Passkeys Log-In Option For Users

Many tech giants have moved to this authentic log in style as they see passwords as a thing of the past and using biometrics as a way to usher in a more seamless, secure future.

Amazon has rolled out their passkeys feature that allows users to sign into their accounts without a password.

The tech giant has joined the trend in which users can set up passkeys that are said to be more secure than traditional passwords because they require a user’s actual device, not just your password, to break in. Passkey options include a users fingerprint, face scan or screen lock.

For now, you have to manually set up passkeys in the Amazon app’s ‘Login and Security’ settings, and passwords are still the default.
