President Biden Delivers Remarks Regarding Israel’s War With Hamas

The president disclosed for the first time that American citizens are among those taken hostage by Hamas fighters. He did not specify how many but it was confirmed that at least 20 Americans are unaccounted-for.

President Biden delivered remarks from the White House condemning Hamas’ terrorist attacks amid their ongoing war with Israel.

In the 10-minute address, Biden displayed disgust over the “vicious attacks”, which he said led to 1,000 Israeli and at least 14 American deaths. He also disclosed for the first time that American citizens are among those taken hostage by Hamas fighters. He did not specify how many but it was confirmed that at least 20 Americans are unaccounted-for. U.S. officials have been directed to offer their expertise in assisting Israel’s efforts to free the hostages.

The president did not clarify whether Israel should observe any limits in rooting out Hamas fighters. However, he did make a passing reference to the dysfunction in Washington due to the lack of a House Speaker he said, “This is not about party or politics. It’s about the security of our world.”
