The Suspect Accused Of Robbing A Piggly Wiggly Has Been Arrested

The suspect allegedly pulled a gun on an employee ordering them to open the store's safe.

The suspect accused of conducting armed robbery of a Piggly Wiggly has been captured.

On the 24th, 37-year-old Thomas Blake allegedly rode his bike to the grocery store on Ashland Street in Andrews around 6a.m.. He proceeded to pull a gun on an employee ordering them to open the store’s safe. He then stuffed the money in his backpack, ordered the employees not to move for five minutes as he rode off on his bicycle.

Blake has been charged with armed robbery, two counts of kidnapping, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.
