Wanted Suspect Surrendered Himself To Robeson County Police

An investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.

A man who was wanted by the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, surrendered.

26-year-old Chamberlain Oxendine is charged with first-degree murder and is being held without bond.

The charge is in relation to the death of 21-year-old Tazarie Butler. The incident occurred on June 27th shortly after 9p.m. when deputies responded to 135 Beam Road in Lumberton on reports of someone being shot. Butler was found dead at the scene.
