Team USA Takes Win Over Vietnam In Women’s World Cup Game
Team USA is set to take the field again on Wednesday at 9p.m. against Netherlands.
On Friday, the United States took on Vietnam in the Women’s World Cup.
The two-time defending United States team started its battle for a third consecutive World Cup title with a 3-0 win over newcomer Vietnam.
Player Sophia Smith scored two goals in the first half during her first time playing in the World Cup and Team Captain Lindsey Horan sealed the victory with a goal in the second half.
Team USA is set to take the field again on Wednesday at 9p.m. against Netherlands.
The World Cup Champion will be crowned on August 20th at Stadium Australia in Sydney.
