105th Imperial Council of Shriners Session

The Imperial Council of Shriners, Prince Hall Origin national Compact is convening in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina May 13th through May 16th in its 105th Imperial Session to be held ad the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center. Delegates are anticipated from just about every state in the country. The Imperial Council of Shriners was organized in Washington, DC on October 17th 1898. The Shriners are the most visible arm of the Masonic fraternity. Their work includes raising funds to support the Shriners Hospital Network which provides completely free medical services to children, the United Negro College Fund as well as teh Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation. This event is held annually to advance the cause of Shrinedom througout the United States to include codifying their fund raising activities as well as celebrating the pageantry associated with Shriners ceremonies. Activities for the week will include a Thursday Night Sock Hop, a Masquerade Ball on Friday night, and the Imperial Banquet and Ball on Saturday night.
