Man Arrested For Breaking Into A Home And Stealing Presents

Homeowners noticed forced entry upon their door and reported their home broken into and their children's Christmas gifts stolen.

A man is accused of breaking into a home and stealing Christmas gifts in Marlboro County.

47-year-old, Richard Johnson, was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, malicious damage to property, petty larceny, as well as receiving or possession of stolen property.

At a home on Trails Edge Road, homeowners noticed forced entry upon their door and reported their home broken into and their children’s Christmas gifts stolen.

Officers revealed that Johnson had sold some gifts.

A search warrant was conducted at a home on Roosevelt Street, where most of the gifts were recovered.

Johnson was present at the home where he was detained and taken to the Marlboro County Detention Center with a $109,000 bond.

If his bond is posted, he will be required to wear a GPS monitor.
