Meta has announced it is making the most significant job cuts in history of the Facebook parent company.

The company is planning to terminate 11 thousand employees. The cuts come as Meta is facing a variety of challenges to its core business and makes an unclear and costly bet on pivoting to the Metaverse.

The cuts would reduce the meta team by 13%.
