A Traffic Stop Led To A Drug Discovery And Resulted In Two Arrests
The search revealed nearly 28 grams of cocaine and almost 8 grams of meth.
A traffic stop conducted by the criminal enforcement unit of the Florence County Sheriffs Office, resulted in the arrest of two people.
The traffic stop occurred on I-95 in Florence County. The driver was initially stopped for a traffic violation but the incident escalated due to reasonable suspicion of criminal activity. A narcotics K-9 alerted the deputies of an odor on the vehicle.
A search led to the discovery of nearly 28 grams of cocaine and almost 8 grams of meth. Two pistols were discovered on each side of the driver’s seat.
45-year-old, Rachel Thrash and 37-year-old, Christopher Thrash, were arrested. Rachel was charged with trafficking cocaine and distribution of meth. Christopher was charged with unlawful carrying of a pistol.
Both are currently being held at the Florence County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing.
