Myrtle Beach Fugitive Has Been Detained In New York

The fugitive is accused of using the Grindr dating app to rob people in Myrtle Beach.

A fugitive from the Myrtle Beach area has been detained in New York.

22-year-old Shamoray Holmes is one of three men accused of using the Grindr dating app to rob people in Myrtle Beach. The other two have previously been convicted in the case.

The accusations were made in 2018.

Holmes had a felony warrant out of Horry County for armed robbery. He was arrested by the New York State Police at a home in the town of Rutland.

The fugitive is currently being held at the Jefferson County jail in New York while waiting to be transported back to South Carolina.
