The U.S. inflation rate climbed 8.2% in September, marking the lowest rate in 7 months.

It was 8.3%  in August and above the market estimation of 8.1%. The report shows the cost of rent and primary residence climbed nearly 7.2% over the year so far.

The increase in inflation could hold a powerful impact on the midterms, since this is the last report that will be released before the elections.
