Florida Death Toll Rises as Rescue Missions Are Still Being Conducted
Florida rescue crews have been going door to door to search for survivors as the state has started taking steps on the road to recovery after Hurricane Ian. As of Monday, at least 103 deaths have been reported in result of the Category 4 storm. 54 of the deaths occurred in Lee County alone. Ian also caused 4 deaths in North Carolina. While many are still without power, some Floridians are homeless. More than 1,900 people who were trapped, have been rescued by boat and aircraft.
