A staff member of Northeastern University sustained minor injuries after opening a package that detonated. The 45-year-old man works in the University’s Virtual Reality Center where the package was delivered. Although he was not seriously hurt, he suffered hand injuries and is being treated. The package arrived with a note that criticized Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg and the relationship between Academic Institutions and the Developers of Virtual Reality. A second package was also delivered but was deemed safe by a bomb squad. Investigators have not yet discovered how the package was delivered and the motive behind the threat remains unclear.
