Florence Library Offers Retirement Savings Workshop

The Florence County Library System will host a free four-week retirement workshop series entitled “Jump-Start Your Retirement Savings Plan.” The series runs on consecutive Tuesday nights at 6:00 p.m. from April 7 through April 28, 2015 at the Doctors Bruce and Lee Foundation Library in Florence. Taught by Dr. Jan Serrano, Certified Financial PlannerTM and Assistant Professor of Finance with the Francis Marion University School of Business, the workshops will focus on saving and investment strategies for building and protecting a retirement nest egg and planning for a secure retirement. Each two-hour workshop (with a short break in the middle) will cover different aspects of retirement planning. Attendees can enjoy free refreshments, as well as register for door prizes. The free workshops and related financial literacy programs and resources are made possible by a grant from Smart investing@your library®, a partnership between FINRA Investor Education Foundation and the American Library Association. The Friends of Florence County Library are administering the funds for this grant. Registration is required for this free workshop series.
