If you think the food you got served at a restaurant is smaller…you’re not alone. A data science leader at Yelp says people reviewing restaurants are mentioning “shrink-flation” more frequently. That’s basically paying the same price for something you did in the past…and getting a smaller serving. Reviews that included comments about inflation are up 28-percent in the second quarter of this year compared to the same time last year.
