USPS Now Accepting Letters As Part Of Operation Santa Program

Kids and families write letters and registrants can adopt the letters to help brighten the holidays for those in need.

The USPS is now accepting letters to Santa for the 114th year of its Operation Santa.

The Postal Service is accepting holiday letters from children and families throughout the U.S. and its territories. Each year, the families address the letters to Santa at the North Pole. The Postal Service program then allows people to adopt and respond to these letters, fulfilling the holiday wishes across the nation.

Submitted letters must follow the program guidelines found on the designated website and be postmarked by Dec. 5 to be eligible for potential adoption and fulfillment. There is no guarantee that letters submitted will be adopted.

Registration to adopt letters starts Nov. 2, and people can register as individuals or groups. The letter adoption window opens on Nov. 16 and registrants can adopt single or family letters to help brighten the holidays for those in need.
