Merriam-Webster has added 1,400 new words and definitions to the dictionary. The new entries reflect words and meanings that have demonstrated widespread use over time.
Among the new entries is looksmaxxing. That is the practice of taking one or more sometimes extreme or dangerous measures intended to increase physical attractiveness.
Another addition is the unrequited parasocial, which means relating to or involving a one-sided emotional connection with someone whom one does not know personally.
