Lindsay Clancy Attorneys Asks For Pardon From President Trump

Following weeks of a trial and a full week of deliberations, jurors found themselves deadlocked leading to a judge to declare a mistrial.

Lindsay Clancy’s attorneys made a surprise appeal to President Trump for a pardon.

The 36-year-old former nurse faced three counts of first-degree murder in the strangling deaths of her three children. Following their deaths, she’s accused of attempting to kill herself by throwing herself out of a second story window. She did not deny anything but argued that she was experiencing severe post partum.

Following weeks of a trial and a full week of deliberations, jurors found themselves deadlocked leading to a judge to declare a mistrial. Her attorneys have asked Trump to consider a pardon. They said while Trump has no grounds to issue a pardon on state charges, they feel that the president could potentially influence the case. The goal could be to gain leverage in potential plea negotiations.
