The host nation Brazil begins its World Cup campaign at Estádio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro on June 24. FIFA also revealed that all eight host cities will stage at least seven games, including one knockout game.
The tournament will feature 32 teams, including defending champion Spain. The date for the World Cup draw has not been announced, but it is expected to take place in Brazil near the end of 2026 when qualification for the tournament has mostly been completed.
