Manmade Gourmet’s Love It or Chuck It: Carnivore Ravioli
The Manmade Gourmet, Tyler Ryan and Crysty Vaughan try a super viral, super easy recipe with everyone’s fav - FETA!
So when it has Feta, it can’t be bad, right? Vaughan and The Manmade Gourmet were willing to test the theory.
Per usual, we tried to stick, as best we could, to the recipe that we found…
There are only a few things you need for this one:
4 to 8 slices of low-moisture mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup cooked ground beef, turkey, or pork sausage
Pinch of salt and black pepper
Optional enrichment: 2 tbsp heavy cream and 1 tbsp butter for a quick pan sauce
How to make it:
Heat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Make the shells by cutting mozzarella slices in half and placing them on the sheet. Bake for 5 minutes until soft and edges start to turn golden.
Add the filling by placing a small spoonful of cooked ground meat onto one half of each warm cheese piece.
Fold and seal the cheese over the meat to form a pocket, pressing the edges gently together.
Bake again for another 4 to 7 minutes to set the cheese structure.
THIS is where the inspiration came from!

Lessons learned / tips:
We used roma not cherry tomatoes, so they didn’t “pop” as much as we wanted, but they sure tasted good!
We made it twice, once with just Feta, then with a block – use the block!
